Tabernacle

The tabernacle, the repository for the Blessed Sacrament, is constructed of gold-plated cast bronze and echoes the architectural features of the Cathedral.  The throne upon which the tabernacle rests is made in a similar design and of the same materials as the altar.  On the walls of the chapel are scriptural verses from John 6:51: "I am the bread which has come down from heaven" and from Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always even unto the end of the age."  Each passage proclaims the enduring presence and love of Christ.  Two bronze lamps burn continually within the chapel, signifying the abiding presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.
