Cathedra
Behind the altar is the
cathedra, Greek for
chair. A cathedral is so named because it
is the place of the bishop's chair. From
here, he teaches and guides the local church.
The solid oak cathedra was fabricated locally by
noted carpenter, Michael Dobbins.
