Lesson Plan Overview
To the left are several sample lessons that
could be used in a variety of contexts in conjunction with
discussions concerning WYD. It is envisioned that they could be
used as part of religion classes in Catholic schools,
catechetical programs in parishes, youth ministry events, and
young adult discussion groups. People should feel free to use
or adapt them as fits their context. The lessons are divided
into age groups. There are lessons for younger adolescents
(ages 11-14), older adolescents (ages 14-18), and young adults
(ages 18-35). Those interested in using them with other age
groups are welcome to make the necessary adaptations. The
topics of the lesson have been chosen based on the theme for WYD
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you; and you will be my witnesses.”
